M5 traffic stopped near Bristol after multi-vehicle crash

All traffic was stopped on the M5 following a multi-vehicle crash near Bristol this afternoon (Friday, November 8). According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the collision took place heading southbound. Traffic was stopped near junction 20 for Clevedon at about 4.55pm.

Traffic became heavy on the motorway and drivers faced considerable delays. Around 5pm, Inrix reported: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to multi-vehicle accident on M5 southbound near J20 B3133 Ettlingen Way (Clevedon). Traffic held around 16:55."
