Lorry driver dies after crash with car

A lorry driver has died following a crash with a car in Llanharan, police have confirmed. South Wales Police[1] say they are investigating the fatal road collision which happened just before 10am on Tuesday, October 8. The crash involved a Volvo lorry and a Vauxhall Corsa on Llanharry Road in Llanharan. The force has said that the lorry driver, a 60-year-old man from Ystalyfera, died at the scene.

The 46-year-old male driver of the Corsa was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Llanharry Road was closed all day and overnight on Tuesday for accident investigation work to take place and for the vehicles to be removed from the scene. It re-opened on Wednesday morning.
