Live M3 updates today as crash near M25 junction sees traffic held
Traffic was held on the M3 between 2pm and 4pm on Sunday, October 27. Drivers approaching Staines’ junction 2 were stuck in 4 miles of congestion, as emergency services rushed to the scene. The crash was reported at around 2pm.
We do not know how many vehicles were involved or if there were any injuries at this stage. National Highways and emergency services dealt with the crash site and moved it across the northbound carriageway and out of the way of traffic. Lanes gradually reopened.
When lanes reopened, a National Highways spokesperson said: “All lanes have now reopened on the M3 eastbound between J3 (Bagshot) and J2 (M25) following the earlier collision.
There is still approx.
4 miles of congestion on approach, resulting in residual delays of 30 minutes above usual travel times.”
