St Johnston: Woman dies after being struck by a lorry in Donegal

The road remains closed to allow for an examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Witnesses, including anyone with dash-cam footage, have been asked to come forward.

The woman’s death brings to four the number of people killed on roads in County Donegal in less than a week.

A woman, also in her 80s, died on Wednesday[1] following a two-car crash in the Inver area of the county last Sunday.

The crash came just hours after another serious accident on the Inishowen Peninsula which claimed the lives of two young cousins.[2]
