Police appeal after man ran from scene of crash on the M5

The crash took place at around 7.50am this morning (Thursday, August 8) on the northbound carriageway of the motorway between junctions 5 (Droitwich) and 4A (Birmingham/M42). The incident involved a Ford Fiesta and an MG and the motorway was partially blocked but later reopened. The driver of the Fiesta was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A man, believed to be in his late 20s, was seen running from the scene. He is described as white and was wearing a white t-shirt and red shorts. West Mercia Police is now appealing for witnesses.
