M1 Leicestershire live updates as traffic at a standstill due to accident

Traffic was at a standstill on part of the M1 in Leicestershire this evening (Monday). A crash northbound between Lutterworth and Leicester meant all traffic was being held. Traffic monitoring service Inrix said earlier: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident on M1 Northbound between J20 A4303 (Lutterworth) and J21 M69 (Leicester)."

The stretch of the M1 has now reopened and traffic is back to normal.
