Trains disrupted after lorry crashes into bridge at station
Northern said that rail services ran at reduced speeds following the collision earlier today. In a statement at 11.10am this morning, Northern said: “Due to a lorry colliding with a bridge at St Helens Central trains have to run at reduced speed on all lines. “Train services running through this station will be delayed by up to 15 minutes.
“Network Rail engineers are expected on site shortly.” READ > Road cleared after crash causes disruption[1] Shortly before noon, the disruption to services was ended and services returned to normal again.
