Motorcyclist dies in Magor lorry crash

Police have confirmed at a 27-year-old motorcyclist has died following a crash involving a lorry. Officers are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. The incident happened on the A4810 near Magor at around 12.20am on Friday, July 19.

The road was closed overnight as investigations were carried out at the scene. A statement from Gwent Police[1] said that officers attended, along with teams from Welsh Ambulance Service, following a collision between a Mercedes articulated lorry and a silver Kawasaki motorcycle. A spokesman said: “Paramedics confirmed that the rider, a 27-year-old man, had died at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.” The force would like to speak to anyone who was on A4810 between Magor Brewery and Europarks industrial estate between midnight and 12.30am. Officers are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or any motorists with dashcam footage that were using A4810 near Magor at the time to contact the force.
