Driver airlifted to hospital after dumper truck crash on country road

A driver has been airlifted to hospital after a crash on a rural country road in Devon[1]. The crash, involving a dumper truck and car, occurred in Langford and a road was closed at the scene. Paramedics were called to the site of the crash, along with Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service[2].

The driver of the car sustained serious injuries and has been taken to hospital by an Air Ambulance. A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police[3] said: "Police were called at around 12.35pm on Friday 26 July following reports of a road traffic collision involving a dumper truck and a car in Langford, Devon. Ambulance and fire also called.

The road was closed and the driver of the car airlifted to hospital having suffered serious injuries."
