Down machine has driving forces everywhere… it’s their key to tasting future success

As I was rattling down the motorway towards Dublin in a Peugeot 207 that was released the same year that Down reached their most recent All-Ireland Final, I looked at all of the cars around me as we all headed towards the same destination - Croke Park.

Apart from being much more shiny, modern and expensive than my trusty form of transportation, they had something that I hadn't seen in a long time - flags with the Down emblem on the windows and happy, cheerful passengers inside wearing red and black, excited for the big day ahead.
