Devon telegraph pole ‘completely destroyed’ after lorry crash
A lorry driver has escaped with “minor injuries” after a collision “completely destroyed” a telegraph pole in Devon, according to spokespeople for the police and fire service.
The single vehicle crash happened on the A35, Raymond’s Hill at about 06:50 BST on Monday.
The road between Charmouth roundabout to The Hunters Lodge Inn was reopened at 12:30 after the vehicle was recovered.
Devon and Cornwall Police said no arrests had been made and BT workers had attended the scene to repair the damaged telegraph pole.
