Crash on A47 Acle Straight causing heavy traffic delays

The crash happened just before 8am on the Acle Straight near the Halvergate turn-off at Branch Road. Three vehicles were involved in the collision, including a lorry and two cars. Three ambulance crews attended the scene and one man was transported to James Paget Hospital for further care.

The #A47[1] eastbound between the #A1064[2] #Acle[3] and A149 #GreatYarmouth[4] is closed whilst @NorfolkPolice[5] deal with a collision involving a lorry. The eastbound side of the road was closed while police dealt with the incident, but it re-opened just before 10am.

Police were managing traffic via a stop and go system while they awaited recovery of the vehicles.

The scene has now been cleared and fully re-opened.
