Woman in Royal Stoke after lorry and car in A50 crash
A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash between a car and a truck on the A50.[1] Emergency services had been called out to the collision on the stretch through Blythe Bridge[2] this morning. As reported by StokeonTrentLive the westbound carriageway had been left ‘partially blocked’. Now West Midlands Ambulance Service says the driver of the car has been taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.[3][4][5]
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 9am. An ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a collision between a car and a lorry near to the junction of the A50 and Grindley Lane. One ambulance attended the scene.
On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was the car driver.
She was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.”
