Woman, 88, dies after care and lorry crash
An 88-year-old woman who was seriously injured in a road crash on the A70 in East Ayrshire has died in hospital.
The crash, which involved a car and an HGV, happened on the A70 Ochiltree to Coalhill road at the junction of the Killoch, at about 13:30 on Tuesday 4 June.
The woman, who was a passenger in the MG ZS car, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she died on Monday 10 June.
The 59-year-old female driver of the car was also taken to hospital and medical staff described her condition as “critical”.
The 30-year-old male driver of the HGV was not injured.
