Marcus Rashford caught speeding in Rolls-Royce just months after crashing

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford was caught speeding just months on from being involved in a crash outside of the club’s training ground. The 26-year-old striker was travelling in excess of 70mph on the M60 motorway in Manchester, and was clocked breaking the speed limit in his Rolls-Royce Cullinan Blue Shadow, according to the Sun[1]. Rashford admitted his speeding offence through a single justice procedure and the report suggests he will be sentenced at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court[2] on September 27.

Manchester United[3] and Greater Manchester Police declined to comment on the incident which is said to have occurred in December. The United ace emerged unscathed after being involved in a low-speed crash back in September, outside of his club’s Carrington training ground. After returning from a win away to Burnley[4], Rashord looked to depart for home and was involved in a collision with a car driven by a member of the public.

That incident saw his GBP700,000 Black Badge Wraith left with plenty of damage however.

Footage showed the vehicle parts of the rear bumper ripped off. “Marcus is fine and was not injured,” a United spokesman said at the time. “It was an accidental collision as he left the training ground after returning from Burnley. It was an incident involving his car and one driven by a member of the public.

Thankfully both were uninjured and no ambulance was required.” A Mirror[7] source added: “Modern vehicles are incredibly robust, and that helped to protect Marcus. He got out of the car unassisted and his first thought was for the woman motorist to make sure that she was not hurt.

“Bruno [Fernandes] stopped because he saw his team mate and obviously he was worried about him and the woman driver.

So he made sure they were both fine and able to leave the scene without any problems.” Ras hord has endured a difficult season, with Manchester United suffering their worst every Premier League[8] finish. The term ended on a high with an FA Cup[9] victory but Erik ten Hag’s position as manager appears to be still under threat.

The England international failed to make Gareth Southgate’s preliminary EURO 2024 squad however. Rashford recorded seven goals in 33 Premier League appearances in 2023/24. Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
