A man remains in hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Thatcham. The incident happened yesterday (Saturday) at around 8.30am on Pipers Way.

Two HGVs and a skip lorry were involved in the collision and the driver of the skip lorry was taken to hospital. The man, who is in his fifties, has serious leg injuries and he remains in hospital at the time of writing.

Thames Valley Police is now appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward. Investigating officer PC Alex Jarratt, of the joint operations roads policing unit, said: “We are appealing for the public’s help in our investigation. “We would ask anyone who witnessed this collision or may have dash-cam footage to please come forward.”

The crash caused long delays for traffic in the area yesterday as the road was closed for several hours following the collision.
