M6 and M53 motorway closures starting June 3

Motorists in Merseyside have been warned to expect delays and disruption as a number of motorways will be partially closed this week. Sections of the M6 and M53 will be partially closed this week for essential roadworks and National Highways has warned drivers to "expect disruption". The motorways are closed so National Highways can continue to repair the region's roads.

Here are the motorway closures you can expect in Merseyside[1] this week. This list is subject to changes from National Highways.

Monday, June 3

The M6 southbound between junctions J23 and J22 will be closed between 9pm and 6am from June 3 and June 7. The M53 northbound between junctions J11 and J9 will be closed between 9pm and 6am from June 3 to June 8. Tuesday, June 4

The M6 southbound between junctions J23 and J22 will be closed between 9pm and 6am from June 3 and June 7. The M53 northbound between junctions J11 and J9 will be closed between 9pm and 6am from June 3 to June 8. Wednesday, June 5

The M6 southbound between junctions J23 and J22 will be closed between 9pm and 6am from June 3 and June 7. The M53 northbound between junctions J11 and J9 will be closed between 9pm and 6am from June 3 to June 8. Thursday, June 6

The M6 southbound between junctions J23 and J22 will be closed between 9pm and 6am from June 3 and June 7. The M53 northbound between junctions J11 and J9 will be closed between 9pm and 6am from June 3 to June 8. Friday, June 7

The M6 southbound between junctions J23 and J22 will be closed between 9pm and 6am from June 3 and June 7.
