Lorry and car crash on key Bristol route
There were delays on a busy route into Bristol following a crash between a car and lorry. Emergency services responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash on the A370 at The Plimsoll Bridge into Ashton before 6pm on Sunday afternoon (June 2). Traffic monitoring sources reported congestion in the area, with the route partially blocked.
The car involved in the collision was able to drive onto the pavement to clear the carriageway for other motorists. Police officers were at the scene to direct traffic. Avon and Somerset Police has been approached for a further comment.
