A young father has been identified as the sole victim of a tragic truck rollover.

James Kelly, 27, was driving the truck loaded with turf when it crashed on the Gold Coast[2], at the intersection of Elevation Drive and Tamborine Oxenford Road, about 6.45am on Tuesday.

Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly after the crash and declared Mr Kelly dead at the scene.

He is survived by his infant son Roman and partner Shianne Vaughan, who said it 'breaks my heart' to announce his death on social media.

A GoFundMe[3] page established by Turf Queensland[4]'s Natalie Scalisi on Wednesday said the young family were 'facing unimaginable grief and hardship'.

Ms Scalisi wrote that Mr Kelly was a 'young contract driver, devoted partner, and loving father'.

'In times like these, it's crucial for us to come together as a community and support one another,' she wrote.

The fundraiser has already attracted more than £3,000 in less than a day

The money will go to Ms Vaughan to cover funeral costs and living expenses.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any relevant dashcam footage has been urged to contact police.
