A2 crash between lorry and car closed lane near Gravesend

There were delays on the A2 near Gravesend this morning (June 19) following a crash between a lorry and a car. There was queueing traffic near Strood and one lane was closed, with travel time said to be around 25 minutes on the west-bound carriageway. The incident was from the M2 Junction 1 for Strood, to the A227 Wrotham Road (Gravesend/Tollgate Services, Gravesend).

Congestion stretched beyond Singlewell in the west direction, and was almost to the Wrotham Road roundabout. Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service gave KentLive[1] updates on what had happened and how the vehicle occupants were. The crash happened at around 6.20am.
