Road closed after lorry crash in Kerne Bridge, Herefordshire
Emergency services were called to Kerne Bridge, near Ross-on-Wye, shortly before 11am. While the fire service says two cars and a van were also involved in the incident, the police have said it was a “one-vehicle crash”. A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “We were called to a collision involving a lorry in Kerne Bridge in Herefordshire at around 10.50am.”
ALSO READ: The fire service said it was called in to the scene to help, as the road was closed in both directions, with firefighters arriving a little after 11.30am. A spokesperson said: “A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Whitchurch Fire Station was called to a road traffic collision in Kerne Bridge at 11.33am on May 1.
The incident involved two cars and a van which were on all wheels and were made safe using small tools. Police closed the road in both directions. The incident was marked as pending closure just after midday.”
Traffic has now returned to normal in Kerne Bridge.
