M40: Fire services update serious lorry crash near Bicester
The rescue service said their rescue tender and an appliance from Rewley Road Fire Station in Oxford attended. The Oxford[1] crew was on the scene for a few hours after a lorry crashed into a bridge. No updates have yet been provided on the condition of the lorry driver.
The serious incident which caused the M40 to be closed in both directions in Oxfordshire. National Highways have announced that the road has now reopened at J8A near Oxford and traffic is flowing freely. The organisation confirmed that central reservation barrier repairs have been completed.
The matter is now under police investigation.
Thames Valley Police have been contacted for comment.
