LIVE M60 and M6 traffic updates with queues on motorways
Queues are building on a number of motorways across Greater Manchester this morning after multiple crashes and breakdowns. On the M60, all traffic was held on the clockwise side from junction 16 for Pendlebury to junction 17 for Prestwich and Whitefield. Lanes have since been reopened, but long queues remain.
An entry slip road is also closed on the clockwise side of the M60. It is shut at junction one for the Stockport Pyramid. On the M6, one lane is shut on the southbound side from junction 19 for Knutsford to junction 18 for Holmes Chapel after a breakdown, according to traffic alert service Inrix.
