Edmonton North Circular crash sees lorry involved in accident with cars with woman injured

Drivers faced long delays on the North Circular Road this evening (Monday, May 20) after a lorry crash in Edmonton. Police confirmed a woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The A406 North Circular Road was blocked westbound before 8pm according to traffic monitoring site INRIX, with congestion stretching from Upper Edmonton back to Chingford.[1] All lanes were reopened and traffic dispersed after 10pm, close to where the incident happened near Fore Street Tunnel.

Traffic[2] on both sides of the carriageway was worsened by ongoing roadworks in the area. A police update reads: "Police[3] were called at approximately 18:00hrs on Monday, May 20 to reports of a lorry in collision with cars in Angel Road, N18.Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. "One woman was treated at the scene - her injuries are not life threatening.

Road closures remain in place while the scene is dealt with."
