Rygor Group Ltd named a UK Best Workplace for the second year running

The team at multi-award-winning, multi-franchise automotive company, Rygor Group Ltd. is delighted to announce that for the second year running, the business has been named as one of the UKs Best Workplaces(TM) (large companies). Rygor Group’s ranking of 72 on the prestigious 2024 UK Best Workplaces(TM) list, was awarded as a result of overwhelmingly positive feedback from team members. The TRUST INDEX(C) survey asked Rygor Group (which includes multi-franchised commercial vehicle dealer, Rygor Auto – formally known as Rygor Commercials), employees to respond to 60 core statements, which are asked consistently of all organisations taking part in the initiative.

These statements look at a variety of key areas of employee engagement and company culture, including collaboration, justice, communication, teamwork, credibility, engagement, innovation, leadership behaviour and hospitality. Across the Group, Rygor team members advocated the ways the business tries to do its very best to provide the things that ensure they are happy and fulfilled at work. In September 2023, Rygor Group Ltd. achieved certification from Great Places to Work(R) for the second time, and this, plus this latest inclusion on the UK’s Best Workplaces(TM) list, are both huge achievements for the business.

Both accolades come off the back of a significant year for the award-winning automotive company. In 2023, the Group underwent a full rebrand, and launched three new businesses: Rygor Plant, Apex Body Solutions, and Apex Van Solutions, enhancing the range of quality services it offers customers. In addition, this year, Rygor Auto is introducing Passenger Car aftersales capability into its Mercedes-Benz customer offering – further extending the range of expertise offered by its team.

Since its MBO in November 2022, Rygor Group’s owners, John Keogh and Rish Channa, have been working with their senior team, implementing a thoughtful systemic strategy based on the company’s core values of Rewarding, Reliable and Respectful. Rygor Group’s managing director, John Keogh, said: “I am so proud that Rygor Group Ltd. has been recognised yet again as one of the best places to work in the UK. As a business, we focus on employee wellbeing, engagement, and company culture, and these are all things that we are looking forward to building on even further in the future.

We put our customers and our team members at the heart of every decision we make, and Rygor Group’s next chapter is shaping up to be incredibly exciting. Over the last 12-months, we’ve invested in the future of our business and in our team, so it’s fantastic to know that we’re a UK Best Workplace(TM) for the second year – based on what they had to say about working for us. Our team members are key in the next phase of our business’ growth and we’re always looking at what more we can do as a business to enhance the things we offer as an employer.

Our team is incredible, and we’re looking forward to working with them, and other stakeholders and investors, to drive Rygor Group forward to even further success.” Rygor Group’s commercial director, Rish Channa, said: “A place in the 2024 Best Workplaces(TM) list is a huge achievement for our whole team. Across the Group, our team members are dedicated to continuing to provide exceptional customer focused solutions, products and services, so this award truly belongs to Team Rygor, and we’re delighted to have our team recognised in this way.

It’s a truly ground-breaking time at Rygor Group, so we’re thrilled that our team has told us they love working here and we look forward to making further strides as a business, working together to provide the very best service for our customers.” Kate Ruberry-Shoemack, Director of People & Communications at Rygor Group Ltd., said: “Our fantastic team is multi-award winning, and we’re always looking at more ways we can support them to be the best they can be. We are committed to being an inclusive business where team members feel able to be authentically themselves.

We want to be a business where our team members feel a sense of belonging and feel supported. Over the past 12 months we’ve enhanced many of our policies to ensure our team feel supported at all stages of their careers, and in their personal lives. We’re want to ensure everyone has the opportunity they need to thrive working here.

We’ve recently enhanced our maternity and paternity policies, provided dedicated menopause training, introduced our menopause policy, and introduced paid miscarriage leave into the business.  We provided period dignity boxes at our sites, and have a robust recognition initiative across the business, from ‘just because’ treats to giving our team their birthday off to celebrate.  For us, being a UK Best Workplace(TM) isn’t a nice to have – it’s at the heart of our business and who we want to be and what we want to offer our team.  We understand that to be the best in the industry, we have to continue to do the best we can for the amazing team members already working for Rygor, and those who will join our team in the future.”

Throughout 2023 and into 2024, Rygor Group has seen carefully managed, sustained growth and expansion, and continues to invest to ensure its future plans are thoughtful, impactful and most importantly – successful for the business, its team and its customers.
