Person taken to hospital after crash on M2 near Blue Bell Hill
A person has been taken to hospital following a crash on the M2. The motorway remains partially blocked following the collision which involved two vehicles just before junction 3 for Chatham and Rochester.
Two lanes are shut at Blue Bell Hill causing long delays. National Highways say traffic officers are at the scene and recovery is en route.
There are approximately 3.5 miles of congestion on approach causing 30-minute delays above normal travel time, it adds.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service confirmed crews were called shortly after 4:30pm to the incident. "Crews attended the scene and took one person to the Medway Maritime Hospital for further medical treatment," they added. Police have also been contacted for more information.
