M60 LIVE traffic updates as road sweeper overturns with motorway closed

The M60 has been closed this evening after a road sweeper overturned. The clockwise carriageway is currently blocked off between junctions four and five with emergency services on the scene. Pictures taken from the scene of the incident show the large yellow sweeper on its side in the middle of the carriageway.

Traffic has been stopped temporarily. The latest update from live traffic service Inrix read: "M60 clockwise blocked, delays due to overturned road sweeper from J4 M56 to J5 A5103 (Princess Parkway)." The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for more details.
