The collision occurred at about 7.45am and at present there is no estimated re-opening time. National Highways says road users travelling northbound are advised to follow the hollow diamond diversion symbol visible on local road signs.

Motorists should exit the A249 at Key Street roundabout onto the northbound Sheppey Way towards Bobbing.

At Bobbing, drivers should rejoin the A249 northbound via the Bobbing intersection.
