St Albans: 8 road closures to avoid in the next two weeks
Three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour. The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that eight closures are due to start over the next two weeks: o M25, from 10pm March 18 to 5am March 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 22 to junction 21A, Lane closures for structures inspections. o M25, from 10pm March 19 to 5am March 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 21A to junction 22, Lane closure for repair of urgent signals and CCTV.
o M25, from 10pm March 20 to 5am March 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 23 to junction 21A, Lane closure for repair of signals. o A405, from 10pm March 24 to 5am March 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound,, junction 6 to junction 8 – carriageway closure, lane closure and diversion route for carriageway – reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways. o M25, from 10pm March 25 to 5am March 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 22 to junction 21, Lane closure for urgent electrical works.
o M25, from 10pm March 26 to 5.30am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 22 to junction 21A, carriageway closure for gantry inspections, diversion via Local Authorities roads. o M1, from 10pm March 26 to 5am March 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound,, junction 8 to junction 9 – lane closure for communications on behalf of National Highways. o A405, from 10pm March 27 to 5am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A414 northbound, Park Street Roundabout to Breakspear Roundabout – carriageway closure, lane closure and diversion route for communications on behalf of National Highways.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
