Plymouth Freeport appoint new interim chairperson
Adrian Bratt has been named as the new (interim) Chair of The Board of Directors at Plymouth and South Devon Freeport[1]. Bratt will support recently appointed Freeport CEO Richard May in the role during what is a remarkably exciting time for the project. Currently it is awaiting its business plan to be signed off by central government.
This will release in excess of GBP50million in funding from Whitehall and local authorities. The project will, said the Freeport management “supercharge” the local economy through the creation of thousands of jobs and the attraction of millions of pounds in inward investment to the region.
