M5 reopened near Bristol after lorry crash on slip road

There were delays on the M5 this afternoon after a crash involving a lorry. The motorway was blocked northbound near Bristol, leading to queueing traffic on the exit slip road approaching junction 16. It happened at about 3.30pm on Saturday.

The traffic site Inrix was reporting delays for motorists. At the time, it said : "M5 Northbound exit slip road blocked, queueing traffic due to accident, a lorry involved at J16 A38 Gloucester Road (Aztec West)." There wasn't further information about whether other vehicles were involved or if anybody has been injured.

National Highways says the incident is expected to clear between 5:30pm and 5:45pm.
