M3, A36 and M27 closures for Southampton drivers to be aware of this weekend

There will be a couple of closures across the M3, A36 and M27 during the weekend of March 9 and 10. (Image: PA) A small number of motorway closures may impact Southampton[1] drivers this weekend according to National Highways England. These will be along the M3, A36 and M27 roads during the early hours of the morning.

If you're planning to travel along these roads from Southampton it would be best to take note of different diversions that may be in place. Here are the closures along the M3, A36 and M27 that will be in place during the weekend of Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10.

Hampshire M3, A36 and M27 closures for Saturday, March 9

M3

On the M3 northbound way, there will be a carriageway closure between Junction 4a and Junction 3 for drainage work. This will take place between 9pm on Saturday until 6am on Sunday.

Elsewhere, there will be an entry slip road closure on the southbound way at Junction 3 at the same time, which will also be for drainage work.

A36

There are no closures listed along the A36 for this day.

M27

There are no closures scheduled along the M27 for this day.

Hampshire M3, A36 and M27 closures for Sunday, March 10

M3

On the M3 northbound way, there will be a carriageway closure between Junction 4a and Junction 3 for drainage work. This will take place between 9pm on Saturday until 6am on Sunday. Recommended reading:

A36

On the A36 in both directions, there will be a carriageway closure between Knook and Deptford for resurfacing works.

This will take place between 8pm on Sunday until 5am on Monday.

A diversion will be in place via the A303 and A350 to Warminster on the northbound way, which is reversed for those travelling in the southbound direction.

M27

There are no closures scheduled along the M27 for this day.
