Driver in hospital after lorry and car crash on A38

A driver has been taken to hospital following a collision between a lorry and a car this morning, Tuesday, March 12. Emergency services attended the scene of the crash outside a petrol station on the A38 Bristol Road, in Gloucestershire. The road was blocked in both directions[1] near Fromebridge.

Traffic monitoring site Inrix reported slow traffic in the area close to the collision which occurred near the Frampton-on-Severn turn off, north of Claypits. Google reported very slow traffic both northbound and southbound by the A38’s junction with the B4071 Perry Way. It is believed to have happened at around 9am this morning, Tuesday, March 12.

Delays had cleared by 11.30am. It is not thought that the driver hurt in the crash has sustained any serious injuries. This is a live blog.
