A14 shut near Needham Market after lorry overturns in crash

Officers were called to the eastbound carriageway, near to junction 51 for Needham Market, at about 11am on Wednesday. A spokesman for Suffolk police said the collision involved a lorry and a van. According to National Highways, a lorry has overturned.

Traffic has been stopped between junction 50 and junction 51 as a result, blocking traffic from heading towards Ipswich and the Port of Felixstowe.

Drivers are advised to find alternative routes, with the closure expected to be in place for some time.

The extent of injuries is currently unclear.
