The closure is in place in both directions from junction 14 at Hungerford to junction 15 at Swindon.

It is to allow resurfacing and bridge joint replacement works, said National Highways.

The road will be open throughout the weekends.

The closures mean that there will be no access to Membury services on the eastbound carriageway.

Later in March the M4 will be closed overnight at junction 13, for Chieveley.

From Monday, March 4 until Friday, March 22, the eastbound carriageway will be shut within junction 13, from 9pm until 6am each weeknight.

There will be an “up and over diversion” in place, said National Highways.

This closure is also to allow bridge joint replacement works and resurfacing to be carried out.

The road will be open as usual during weekends.
