Truck crashes into house in Coventry

A motorist was lucky to escape serious injury after they crashed into a house in Coventry[1] last night (13). The force of the impact, which involved a flatbed truck, was so severe a technical rescue team was deployed by West Midlands Fire Service to survey the damage.

Thankfully, the driver was able to remove themselves from the wreckage. The mid-terraced house was said to have suffered structural damage, though no one inside was injured.

Multiple emergency crews were called to the incident in Foxes Walk, Wood End, at around 7.30pm.

The fire service said crews from Coventry, Foleshill[2] and Solihull[3] fire stations all attended and that the incident had been left with West Midlands Police[4]. The force was approached for further information.
