Pop-up Stoke-on-Trent street food favourite opens first restaurant …

Mobile street food favourite The Travelling Taverna has opened its first-ever restaurant and takeaway. Its Greek Cypriot street food is a firm favourite outside North Staffordshire’s pubs and clubs.

Now it has this week opened its first restaurant and takeaway on Trinity Square, in Uttoxeter[1]. Deliveries will operate from February.

In a social media message to fans, the venue stated: “We are over the moon to announce the opening of our first The Travelling Taverna store. Thanks to the lovely people of Uttoxeter for your patience and support.

“We cannot wait to serve you delicious fresh Greek Cypriot street food slowly cooked over hot coals. The team and I are really excited and are looking forward to opening in Nottingham and Derby very soon too.”

The Travelling Taverna Uttoxeter is open from 12.30pm to 9.30pm Tuesday to Saturday. Its mobile van is outside The Black Cock, on Uttoxeter Road, in Blythe Bridge, between 5pm and 9pm on Saturday, January 13.
