Major incident on M8 as emergency services rush to ‘multi-car crash’

DRIVERS faced delays on a busy Scots motorway slip road after a major incident involving a "multi-car crash".

Emergency services^[1] raced to Junction 12 on the eastbound carriageway of the M8 near Riddrie, Glasgow, tonight.

Images from the scene show at least three vehicles facing in different directions on the carriageway.

There is also a double-decker bus involved in the incident.

Several police^[2] cars including unmarked vehicles are also present.

The slip-road is the main access point onto the motorway^[3] which appears to be locked down by police.

Police Scotland^[4] have been approached for comment.
