Garnier Road: ‘Drivers have been angered at the slow pace of work’

The project started last February, due to be completed last November then extended to this coming February.

Conversely, a new McDonald's at Winnall has been built from start to finish in a matter of weeks. Might this be something to do with private enterprise against a corporate undertaking for which faceless individuals seem never to be accountable.

As an aside, I was interested to read a piece on the front page of yesterday's Daily Telegraph (January 2) - "A small pedestrian bridge being erected by Network Rail will take longer to put up than the Empire State Building in New York City................which took one year and 45 days to complete".
