10 Fantasy Island jobs available – from bar staff to performers
Lincolnshire theme park Fantasy Island is recruiting ahead of the 2024 season, with jobs ranging from singers and ride operators to bar staff. The Mellors Group, which runs the large Skegness park, has listed 10 new jobs at the often busy summer site.
Working at Fantasy Island has its perks, with staff eligible for 25 per cent off food and drink at the park and free wristbands for family and friends. In the listings, the company describes the resort as “Lincolnshire’s most prominent family theme park attraction” over 40 acres of countryside, featuring 30 rides and attractions – including two of the UK’s tallest rollercoasters.
Alongside cashiers and cleaners, Fantasy Island is hiring two new members of bar staff, paying each up to £11.44 an hour. The full-time roles would involve serving food and drinks, checking stock control, and cleaning the venue.

Previous experience would be “beneficial,” the listing says. The park is also on the lookout for a new full-time chef, for £12.25 an hour.
Performers may also prove a good fit, with the company looking to expand its repertoire of talent. An advert was posted for a professional singer/vocalist to take on the lead and supporting roles in various musical shows.
They would be paid a competitive weekly salary and given a platform to “highlight and develop” their vocal talent, according to the listing. Applicants would need to demonstrate they are proficient, with a “strong background” in professional singing, and dedicated to “delivering outstanding vocal performances”.
There is also the chance to work as ‘ultimate holiday host’. The listing reads: “As an ultimate holiday host, you’ll be the life of the party, engaging with guests of all ages and ensuring their visit to Fantasy Island is filled with joy and excitement.
“Be ready to dazzle in various activities, from hosting gameshows to delivering dynamic character performances.” The role would involve hosting various events, teaching dance, and leading game shows.
They would be paid a competitive weekly salary. Openings have also come up for an arcade assistant, a dancer, a ride operator, a cashier and a cleaner.
