Woman, 30, dies after collision with two vehicles in Staffordshire

A pedestrian has died after being in collision with two vehicles. The 30-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

The alarm was raised on the A38 near Shobnall, in Staffordshire, at around 7.40am today.

A Staffordshire Police[1] spokesman said: "We are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision on the A38 near Shobnall. We were called just before 7.40am this morning to reports of a serious collision involving two vehicles and a pedestrian.

"Officers went to the scene with paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service[2]. Sadly the pedestrian - a woman, aged 30 - died at the scene. Her family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

"We are keen to speak to anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area or those with any information which could help collision investigators. We are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have seen the female beforehand."

Witnesses should call the police on 101, quoting incident number 165 of 9 December.
