Travellers ‘set up camp’ inside popular park on New Year’s Eve

A group of travellers has reportedly 'set up camp' inside Senneleys Park on New Year's Eve. The group arrived just after 4pm, reportedly gaining access through the Stonehouse Lane, Mill Lane entrance.

Councillors Kerry Brewer and Bruce Lines said they have requested action from the council on their 'In Touch With Bartley Green' Facebook page. The councillors said: "We have just been informed that an encampment have arrived on Senneleys Park again.

"Mill Lane/Stonehouse Lane entrance. We have requested appropriate action to be taken ASAP."

There have been several incursions at the park this year. The site is popular with families and has two children's play areas, a basketball court, a BMX track, outdoor exercise area and other facilities.
