Police appeal after ?8k Rolex and ?4k in cash swiped in home burglary

Police have issued an appeal after a Rolex watch and thousands of pounds in cash was swiped from a West Midlands home. The theft, from a property in Redditch[1] Road in Hopwood close to Alvechurch, saw £4,000 in cash taken as well as the designer watch, which is worth £8,000.

West Mercia Police have issued an image of a man they would like to speak to. Ionut Ignat is known to have links with the West Midlands and Scotland.

The force issued an image of Ignat, 29, along with their appeal on December 13. A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “We would like to speak to 29-year-old Ionut Ignat as we believe he may be able to help with our enquiries into a burglary.

“The burglary happened 9 June at a home on Redditch[3] Road in Hopwood when the property was broken into and £4,000 of cash and a Rolex watch worth £8,000 were taken.

“He is also known to have links to the West Midlands and Scotland. If you have any information as to where Ionut is, please contact PC Vince by email [email protected] or by calling 07814 944 212.
