Met Office issues yellow weather warning for Southampton
The alert will be in place from 3am to 6pm on Wednesday, December 27.
The Met Office has warned strong winds are likely to lead to travel[1] disruption.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Some delays to road, rail, air, and ferry transport are likely.

“It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves.
“There will probably be some bus and train services affected, with some journey’s taking longer.”
They added: “Some short-term loss of power and other services is possible.
“Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges is likely.”
