Man dies in Walsall lorry crash
A man has died in a lorry crash in Walsall[1]. It happened on a service road off Bloxwich Road, in the Bloxwich area of the town.
The collision took place just after 10.30am today, Tuesday, December 12. Nothing could be done to save the casualty, who was in his 50s. His family had been told of the tragedy.
West Midlands Police[2] said the driver remained at the scene and was helping officers with enquiries. The force appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We’re investigating after a man sadly died following a collision in Bloxwich this morning. A man in his 50s was struck by a lorry on a service road off Bloxwich Road just after 10.30am.
“Tragically, nothing could be done to save him. His family has been informed, and our thoughts are with them and his friends at this devastating time. We’ll be offering them all the support we can. The driver remained at the scene and is helping us with our enquiries.
“We’re in the early stages of our investigation and will be reviewing all available CCTV and speaking to potential witnesses.
