Surrey M25 live updates as three lanes are shut causing long delays

There are currently long delays on the M25 in Surrey after three lanes have been shut. The motorway lane closures are causing traffic to build after a trailer became detached from a lorry, with the vehicle causing a major obstruction.

It has happened anticlockwise on the M25, after J9 A243 (Leatherhead). There is just one lane of four open at the moment.

Drivers have been told to seek alternative routes where possible. This is a live traffic blog and we will bring you more updates when we get them.
