Driver seriously hurt in multi-car crash in Coventry

A man has suffered potentially serious injuries following a collision in Coventry[1]. It happened on Hipswell Highway in Wyken[2] on Sunday (December 10).

Paramedics and an Air Ambulance Critical Care Car were called to the scene at around 7.20pm. Firefighters from Coventry[3] and Binley[4] and a 4x4 Brigade Response Vehicle also attended.

Crews discovered that a car had collided with several vehicles, said West Midlands Ambulance Service[5]. It is understood part of the road was blocked until around 8pm.

Medics found that the driver of the vehicle had suffered potentially serious injuries. He chose not to receive further treatment and was given self-care advice before being discharged.
