Dorset: Driver arrested after lorry flips on B3075 near A31
The B3075 has been closed this morning between the A31 Worlds End Pub and Morden Park Corner after a lorry flipped in the road.
Police, fire and ambulance services all attended the incident.
Two people were pulled to safety by firefighters using ladders.
A diversion route was put in place along the A350, A35 or A31.
Recovery is currently at the scene and there were no reports of any serious injuries.
A man was arrested for traffic related offences.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to the B3075 near its junction with the A31 at 7.05am this morning, December 20, for an HGV that was on its side in a hedge.
“Two crews from Poole and one from Blandford attended, and two people in the lorry cab were helped to safety by firefighters using ladders. Our stop was at 7.33am.”
The stop message means that the incident is under control and no further resources are required.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 6.52am of a single vehicle collision involving a lorry that had overturned on the B3075 near Winterborne Zelston.
“Officers have attended, along with the ambulance service. There are no reports of any serious injuries.
“A man has been arrested on suspicion of a driving offence and recovery is at the scene.”
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 6:56am on Wednesday, December 20, to a road traffic incident on the B3075 near Winterborne Zelston. We sent a double-crewed land ambulance.”
