Dartford Crossing: M25 QEII bridge closed after lorry spills its load

The Queen Elizabeth II Bridge on the M25 has been closed after a lorry spilled its load this afternoon (December 21). The incident, which was first reported around 1.15pm, resulted in all lanes of the M25 carriageway going clockwise being closed.

The spill occurred on the bridge between Junction 31 A1306 and Junction 1A A206 (Dartford). The incident was the second to occur on the M25 clockwise in under an hour.

Earlier this afternoon, a crash on the M25[1] has led to road closures and reports of six miles of traffic. Long delays are expected on the carriageway as a result of the two incidents.
