Car flips on busy Walsall road with one taken to hospital

A car has overturned on a busy Black Country[1] road as emergency services rushed to the scene. The incident took place in Darlaston Road in Walsall[2] at around 4.30pm on Saturday (December 16). Fire, police and ambulance crews attended the incident.

It involved a silver Vauxhall car in collision with a parked car. West Midlands Fire Service sent crews from Walsall and Wednesbury. A spokesman for the service said: “We were called at 4.34pm to a road traffic collision in Darlaston Road Walsall.

“It involved one car in collision with a parked car. One person was taken to hospital for precautionary checks.”

National Express West Midlands bus services were diverted. The company put a message on X, formerly, known as Twitter.

It said: “Due to a collision on Darlaston Road, Walsall. Bus services 34, 37 and 39 will be diverting both ways via: Bescot Road, Wood Green Road, Axeltree Way and Park Lane. Sorry for any disruption caused.”

But in an update shortly after 6pm the road was cleared and the buses returned to their normal route. West Midlands Police[4] has been contacted for a statement.
